Screened Porch Decorating Ideas With Seasonal Colors

With Halloween down and Thanksgiving fast-approaching, it’s important to include warmer, crisp tones of fall within your screened porch decorating schemes. Everything from deep, dandelion yellows to oaky browns are welcome as the season of fall comes to its midpoint. We have quite a few decorating ideas of our own that will make your home and porch guest-ready, while representing the beautiful season that we are in.

Color Recommendations

Yellow, orange, red, brown, navy blue, and white all make for great colors to effectively decorate a fall screened porch with. A great idea is to pick two or three colors that really stand out to you, and represent those in differing shades around the screened space, that way guests always have something new and exciting to admire. Those that enjoy more traditional screened porch color schemes may opt to have merely brown as their primary color (matching surrounding wood furniture) then a light red or orange to add minimal highlight, but just enough to make the space feel unique and seasonally appropriate.

Accent Pieces

Although Halloween may be over, that does not mean the use of pumpkins, gourds, and corn stalks in decorating is. These decorative accents can add to the overall feeling of happiness and thanks that the screened porch is aiming to create. Screened porch tones matter, both for the homeowners as well as their guests. With the extra additions of wood or hay barrels, mums, front porch string lights, and more, your screened porch will feel homey and welcoming before you know it!

Finishing Touches

What better way to complete a pleasant space than with throw pillows, blankets, new furniture pieces, and comforting activities?! We recommend getting pillows and blankets that match your general screened porch theme, that way they serve both for comfort and for accent. If you’ve been looking for a time to install that new technology or add a cozy foot stool, this is a great time to do that, too. If there are colors, textures, or styles of things that make you joyful, this is the season to add those in and enjoy.
