Some Patriotic Ways to Celebrate the Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July from all of us here at SCREENEZE! We hope that you are able to spend some time with your family and friends. Wondering how to celebrate this year? Check out this guide for some inspiration!

Sparkler ArT

Have some sparklers? Then make some sparkler art! It’s super fun for all ages and is pretty simple. You will however need a tripod or something to balance your phone on. Set your phone’s camera to long exposure (or download a long exposure app) and take a picture! Next, simply draw whatever it is that you want to make and have fun. See the picture to the right for some inspiration.

USA Themed Snacks

Whether it’s cookies, cupcakes, or anything else, snacks are a great way to get into the Fourth of July spirit. They are also great to take to any cookout or block party, and can be super simple to make. Get inventive - anything can be made USA themed with a little bit of creativity!

Visit a Museum

While some museums will be closed on the actual fourth of July, going a few days before or after is a great way to celebrate. Learning about America’s history is important, and there’s no better time than our country’s birthday. If you’re close to New York, you can check out this museum that is on the now decommissioned Intrepid.

Go to a Parade

Many towns have fourth of July parades, and they can be a great time to check out a bunch of cool stuff in your community. Bring some lawn chairs, snacks, and enjoy the beautiful weather outside. Make sure to pack lots of water since the heat might be high!

Watch a Patriotic Movie

If the heat is too high or you want a break from the outdoors, there are plenty of patriotic movies to choose from! Whether you want to watch a fictional piece like Captain America, or something like Miracle, which retells the story of the Miracle on Ice from the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, there is definitely something for you.

These were our picks for ways to celebrate the fourth of July. Let us know if you did any of these things or if you have any other fun ways to celebrate!
