Should You Install Screeneze Yourself or Hire a Contractor?

One of the greatest things about SCREENEZE is the simplicity it offers. If you have basic carpentry skills, it’s relatively easy to install. While there is no exact metric we have to determine whether you have enough experience to install SCREENEZE or not, we hope that this short guide will help provide a bit of insight to help you make that decision.

Install by B.R. Miller & Company

If you aren’t super handy with tools or don’t work on your house too much, we don’t recommend trying to install SCREENEZE yourself. While SCREENEZE is fairly simple to install, it likely shouldn’t be your first home improvement project. If you want to find a registered installer, check out our website to look for one near you. Just click the “find a dealer/installer” button in the top right. Otherwise, search in your local area to find a contractor that can complete your install.

If you have some experience with home improvement projects but don’t necessarily work on them every day, your decision probably depends on a few other factors. This skillset is definitely the biggest gray area as to whether or not you should hire a contractor. However, there are a few things to contemplate that might make your decision easier. First, consider what tools you have available. If you don’t have something to cut SCREENEZE with, then it may not be best for you to try to install yourself. Additionally, how much time are you willing to invest into your install? While you may save money by not hiring a contractor, you don’t want to waste your time spending forever installing. Finally, do you have somebody that can help you? Installing SCREENEZE, like most home improvement projects, is made much quicker and easier with the help of someone else. While there isn’t a right or wrong choice on whether to do it yourself or hire a contractor, make sure that you’re confident in whichever decision you make. If you decide to install and are confused at any point, feel free to give us a call with whatever questions you may have. The SCREENEZE team is available 8-4 on weekdays.

If you work with tools/home improvement projects a lot, SCREENEZE should be no problem at all. Just make sure to read the instructions before installing to make sure you’re familiar with the process. Additionally, we recommend pre-drilling your holes to make installation go a bit quicker.
