If you’re not familiar with the construction industry, you may find yourself asking:

“What’s an Installer?”

“Who’s a Dealer?”

“What’s the difference between the two? Are they the same?”

You’d be surprised by how many times we’ve gotten asked these questions over the past two decades, so we wanted to reiterate the details to assist in your home improvement journey!

Installer/Contractor

You will hire a qualified person to complete the job for you.

An installer (also referred to as a contractor) is a skilled individual or team that can be hired to complete your home improvement project(s). In order for individuals to be listed as registered SCREENEZE installers on our website, they have to: 1) document that they’ve been installing our products correctly for some length of time, 2) complete a form with pertinent business details and experience information, and 3) provide up-close and afar images of correctly-installed SCREENEZE products.

If you lack basic carpentry skills and/or are unfamiliar with the installation process, we recommend hiring a contractor that can fulfill your home improvement needs. Furthermore we always recommend that you qualify your installer (contractor) prior to hiring.

Dealer/Distributor

You will complete the job yourself, utilizing your own tools and materials.

A dealer (also referred to as a distributor) is typically a lumber yard or home improvement store that carries the specific products necessary for your projects. In order for businesses to be listed as registered SCREENEZE dealers on our website, they have to: 1) document that they’ve been stocking our products for some length of time, 2) complete a form with pertinent business details, and 3) provide the details as to where they purchase our products from and which products they carry on-hand (stock).

If you possess basic carpentry skills and/or you’re an experienced contractor, we recommend locating a nearby dealer that can supply you with the necessary materials and tools to complete the home improvement project(s).
