Designing the Perfect Outdoor Retreat with SCREENEZE®

Having an outdoor space that is tailored towards your needs will offer a home endless benefit. It can be a space to unwind after a long day, to connect with nature, for people to gather and connect, and so much more. To make sure you are making the most of your outdoor space it is important to design the area with elements that fit your needs. Screening a porch or any type of outdoor space is always a great first step. SCREENEZE® offers a screen porch system that will keep your outdoor space bug-free and safe from the weather. Without having to worry about critters or storms, you can focus on making your outdoor space perfect for your needs. In this blog, we will guide you through the design process so that your dream outdoor space can be achieved.

Pick a color

SCREENEZE® products come in four different colors to meet your design needs. With a choice between white, bronze, clay, and black, SCREENEZE® products can match any theme or design and give you options on how you want your screen system to look. If you are mounting a screen on a color close to one of these four, the SCREENEZE® systems can blend into the area and make it look almost invisible. No matter what look you are going for SCREENEZE® had the tools for you!

Screeneze or snaptrack

SCREENEZE®'s two main screen systems are the legacy SCREENEZE and SNAPTRACK. While they are similar, there are some key differences that are worth noting. The biggest difference stems from the looks. As shown in the image, SNAPTRACK does not have the “L” shape that the legacy SCREENEZE does. This allows it to mount solely to the face of the surface you are installing your screen on. This permits the SNAPTRACK to have hidden screws and predrilled holes in the aluminum base. While SCREENEZE doesn’t have these features, it comes in 8’ and 12’ lengths while SNAPTRACK’s length tops out at 8’. It is important to keep note of these differences when deciding which system is best for you.

Will you be using a wedge, flatbar, or door?

Along with the main screen systems SCREENEZE® offers several other products to help customize your outdoor space, three being the wedge, flatbar, and door. The wedge offers a PVC Vinyl wedge that will enable you to enclose an outdoor space with 6 or 8 walls by angling your screen panels. This works perfectly for designing gazebos that will remain bug free and weather resistance. Flatbar is SCREENEZE®’s bendable counterpart that allows for arches and semicircles to be screened. Finally, SCREENEZE® offers a sliding screen door to incorporate into your porch. This is perfect for an entrance into your yard that is obstruction-free and won't mess up the look of the porch.

Furnish

Once you have figured out which SCREENEZE® products you will use in your porch design you can finally furnish your outdoor space! It is important to note what you see yourself using your screen porch for when furnishing your porch. An outdoor couch, comfortable chairs, and cushioned benches are perfect for hanging out in at all parts of the day. A dinner table with adequate seating is also a good idea if you plan to enjoy meals in your outdoor space. Lighting, entertainment, and heating/cooling are also things to keep in mind to make your outdoor space perfect for your needs.

Decorate

Once you have designed your screened porch system and furnished the enclosed area, it is time to decorate! This is a fun and relaxing process that can really tie your outdoor space together. Giving your space a theme can bring your porch to life and make it look great. Things like cushions, paintings, flowers, and rugs can all be coordinated to make your screened porch look cohesive and stylish.
